INTRODUCING THE GBTEN CHAPTER SUMMER SPECIAL....WORLD CUP '98.

This year,  during the month of June & July,  France are the host Country
for the 1998 World Cup Football Championship.  The 32 Qualifying Countries
are listed below.  To coincide with the Championship we have organised
another of our Summer Specials, this one is called "World Cup '98"

From the 1st March until the 31st May an extra 10 pts per upgrade, plus 5%
of new upgrade points will be deposited into a special pool which will, at
the end of the Championships, be shared out on a % scale, as outlined
below, between all stations taking part. ie All upgrading and new Members.

Each station upgrading will be assigned a Country, drawn in rotation, and
based upon an alphabetical listing of the 32 Countries taking part.

On this GBTEN Special there is nothing to collect or propagate. All you
need to do is keep watching your Sportsnews during June & July to see how
well your Country are progressing and the number of points you could gain!

               The share out of points to be as follows.....
               ---------------------------------------------
     2% of Total points amongst those with the initial 32 Countries.
     8% of Total points amongst the 16 losers in the first round.
    10% of Total points amongst the 8 losers in the second round.
    15% of Total points amongst the 4 losers in the third round.
    17% of Total points between the two losers in the semi-finals.
    20% of Total points between those with the runner up in the final.
    28% of Total points those with the winning Country.

   Points will be rounded to the nearest whole number in each case.
