INTRODUCING THE GBTEN CHAPTER SUMMER SPECIAL |
| This year, during the months of May and June, Japan and Korea are the host
countries for the 2002 World Cup Football Championship. The 32 countries
who qualified for the finals are listed below. To coincide with the
Championship we have organised another of our Summer Specials. This one
is called 'World Cup 2002' !
From the 1st of March until the 29th of May this year, upgrading members, as well as new members, will be assigned a country, drawn in rotation and based upon an alphabetical listing of the 32 countries taking part. Also, an additional 10 points per upgrade, plus 5% of new upgrade points will be deposited into a pool which, after the Championship Final, will be shared out on a percentage scale as shown below to all members with a World Cup 2002 Country. The higher your country moves through the championship the higher your World Cup 2002 points will be! You may upgrade and add points into the pool as many times as you wish. However, once you have been assigned a country you will not receive another one..! The more points added means more points to be shared out after the final match due to take place at the end of June... On this GBTEN Special there is nothing to collect or propagate. All you need to do is keep watching your sportsnews during May and June to see how well your country is progressing and the number of points you could gain! > The share out of points to be as follows..... 5% of total points amongst those with the initial 32 countries. Points will be rounded to the nearest whole number at the end of the championship and it is this final figure that will be awarded. The countries in the tournament, in alphabetical order are :-
The points you have gained will be included within the first upgrade received from you after the end of the championship. Information will also be sent out via various e-mail sites. Thank you for taking part and let's hope that your country does well! GBTEN (Archive)
