INTRODUCING THE GBTEN CHAPTER SUMMER SPECIAL....EURO_2K4_#212.TXT

  This year, during June and July, Portugal is the host Country for the 2004 
  European Football Championships. A list of the 16 Countries due to take
  part is below. They are due to start on the 12th of June and the final
  being due on the 4th of July. Our Summer Special, "Euro-2K4" is based on
  these Championships.
  
  From the 1st January to the 31st May, all upgrades will add 25 points and
  all new members will add 50 points into a pool which will be shared out on
  a % scale, as printed below, between all stations taking part.

  NOTE. To take part,
 AN UPGRADE MUST BE RECEIVED or A NEW MEMBER TO JOIN US
  at any time between the 1st of January 2004 and the 31st May 2004.
  Even if it only gets you 1 point it will act as an upgrade!.

  In past summer specials your Country has been issued in a rotational
  sequence. This time it is different! This time YOU get to choose which
  Country YOU would like to have your points linked to!  Members with Club
  calls which have the same point value as your call will have no need to
  select a Country for the Club call as the main call and club call will have
  their points linked together. Members who have club calls where points are
  issued as a separate value will choose which Country to link their club
  call to. This, I believe, is the only fair way to administer this Special.

  Please Remember, This time YOU choose which Country you want!  You MUST
  tell me which Country you want from the list below.  Pick very carefully
  as your upgrade is in their Feet!...

                   The share out of points is as follows.....

        5 % of Total points  amongst those with the initial 16 Countries.
        9 % of Total points  amongst the 8 losers in the first round.
       14 % of Total points  amongst the 4 losers in the second round.
       19 % of Total points  amongst the 2 losers in the third round.
       24 % of Total points  amongst the runner up in the final.
       29 % of Total points  for those with the winning Country.

       Points will be rounded to the nearest whole number in each case.

       Please also note. A maximum of 999(!)points for any one station is
       available for this special.  This is as high as the software will
       allow.  Any station lucky enough to be awarded more than this amount
       will be capped to the maximum of 999 and the balance shared amongst
       all other members taking part!
